Using Liminal Vibe.

These terms cover the Liminal Vibe website, Studio App, companion apps, and services we provide. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services. A separate license supplied with a particular app, component, or item of content also applies to that item.

What the app does

Liminal Vibe lets you compose and play timed sound, visuals, and supported device effects, and keep journals, session marks, and playback history. Features and platform availability depend on your version. Companion playback and synchronization may require compatible devices, pairing, or an enabled sync service. A feature described in the app or on this site is not a promise of availability on every platform.

Use sound and light with care

Liminal Vibe is a creative and experiential tool, not a medical device or medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a condition. Journeys, research references, and AI-generated suggestions are not medical advice or guarantees of a particular result. Research about an individual technique does not establish that a complete journey is effective.

Follow the app’s safety notices and the cautions attached to each journey. Flashing light and visual patterns can trigger seizures or other adverse reactions in susceptible people. Use comfortable audio levels, stop if you feel unwell, and do not use immersive sessions while driving or doing anything that requires your attention. Experimental hardware and flashlight features require the specific precautions shown in the app; do not direct a phone flashlight into your eyes.

Your content and devices

You keep ownership of the projects, media, journals, and other content you provide. You are responsible for having permission to use imported content and for your use of the results. When you enable synchronization or request a service, you permit the processing and transmission needed to perform that request, as described in our Privacy policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Protect your devices, pairing codes, access credentials, and any recovery material. Pair only devices you trust. Keep independent backups of content that matters to you. Revoking a paired device does not erase copies it already received, and deleting a cloud copy does not necessarily remove local copies on other devices.

Optional AI and other providers

If you enable an AI provider, local model server, generation service, or other integration, its terms, usage limits, privacy practices, and charges apply. You are responsible for the accounts and credentials you configure. Review generated suggestions before applying or playing them; generated output may be inaccurate, unsuitable, or unsafe.

Acceptable use

Do not use the services unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, send spam, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service availability, or bypass pairing, access, or safety controls. We may restrict access to our hosted services when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, or legal obligations.

Availability and responsibility

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features and hosted services. Early and experimental releases can contain errors, lose data, or behave unexpectedly. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular outcome.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data or profits, arising from use of the services. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights.
